Major Work Items: Excavation, DGA Sub-base, Asphalt Base Course and Concrete Base Course for: Walks, Paths, and Stairs. Installation of Bluestone Pavers, Concrete Pavers, Granite Pavers and Granite Curbs for Walkways, Stair Treads and Stair Risers. Installation of Bollards and Bike Racks.

Project Highlights:

Whitman College, a spectacular residential facility constructed in 2008 at Princeton University, is designed in the Collegiate Gothic style and used more than 6,000 tons of fieldstone (bluestone) and limestone from quarries in New York, Pennsylvania and Indiana. The collection of 10 buildings, accompanied by open courtyards, walkways and stairwells, house over 500 students in 280,000 square feet.

The project received the 2009 New Jersey Golden Trowel Awards and the General Building Contractors Association of Philadelphia’s 2009 Construction of Excellence Awards.
