SUMMER
2026 INTERN
SCHOLARSHIP

Crisdel is looking for an intern passionate about civil engineering, construction, or project management for its 8-week summer 2026 program.  We offer the unique opportunity to refine this broad passion with expert mentorship, on-site experience, and involvement with real, on-site projects. Our new hire will gain valuable insight into a quickly rising industry, which they can then apply to develop a long-term career.

This is a paid program that will last 8 weeks and be divided into 2 phases: (a) Office/Estimating/Design Phase, (b) Field/Project Engineering/Construction Phase.

this position is Based out of our NJ/NY or Tampa office
Deadline for submission is February 1st

KEY TASKS AND
RESPONSIBILITIES

Including, but not limited to:

    • Learn to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
    • Upload drawings to Procore and distribute bid documents to subcontractors and suppliers.
    • Request and collect pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.
    • Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings (area, volume, linear measurements).
    • Learn and use AGTEK earthwork software for cut/fill calculations.
    • Complete OSHA 10 safety training (if not already certified).
    • Assist project management on active construction sites with day to day tasks.
    • Track daily material & production quantities
    • Coordinate and place material orders with suppliers.
    • Prepare and submit submittals for material approval.
    • Draft and process RFIs (Requests for Information).
    • Support day-to-day field operations, including working around heavy equipment.
    • Communicate effectively with crews, subcontractors, and supervisors.

SCHOLARSHIP

ALONGSIDE THE OPPORTUNITY TO WORK CLOSELY WITH INDUSTRY EXPERTS, THE SELECTED CANDIDATE WILL ALSO BE AWARDED A $15,000 SCHOLARSHIP.

    Key Obstacles:
    • Logistics – getting materials and equipment to the site
    • Securing access to work areas
    • Working around ongoing airport operations
    • Time constraints/meeting deadlines

    Project 2: Civil Sitework Project (Crisdel as a Primary Subcontractor)
    Key Obstacles:
    • Preparing the building pad
    • Bringing utilities to the site, making them accessible to the general contractor
    • Gaining access to the fire lane
    • Preparing crane pads
    • Navigating stacked trades on a single site
